Add todolist to Claude

One click. No config files. Then just talk to your AI.

Requires the Claude Desktop app (Mac & Windows) · free · no account needed to install

Heads up: a .mcpb file is a Claude Desktop extension, not a normal document. Your computer may say it doesn't know how to open it — that's expected and totally fine. You don't install it by double-clicking or saving it somewhere special. Instead, you load it inside Claude Desktop using the steps below. (Leaving it in your Downloads folder is fine.)

📱 You're on a phone

The downloadable extension is for Claude Desktop on a computer. To use todolist in the Claude mobile app or on claude.ai, add a custom connector with this URL:

https://mcp.todolist.live/mcp

In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL, save. Full steps in the setup guide.

Just want to view your lists on your phone? Open the todolist web app and add it to your home screen.

1

Get Claude Desktop (if you don't have it)

The extension runs in the Claude Desktop app. Download it from claude.ai/download (Mac or Windows) and sign in.

2

Download the extension

Click the green Download the Claude extension button above. It saves todolist.mcpb to your Downloads folder. No need to open or move it.

3

Install it inside Claude Desktop

Open Claude Desktop and go to Settings → Extensions, then click Install Extension (you may need Advanced settings first). Choose the todolist.mcpb file from your Downloads folder.

On many setups you can also just double-click the downloaded file and Claude Desktop will offer to install it — but the Settings → Extensions route always works.

4

Click Install

Claude shows what the extension can do, then installs it. Nothing else to configure.

5

Just ask

Say add flowers to my shopping list. Claude asks for your email the first time to create your free account, then remembers your lists across every conversation.
